About your machine, including Electrical Requirements

Your popcorn machine has 3 switches:

1.      LIGHTS AND WARMER SWITCH   This switch turns on the bottom corn warmer and the light in the top of the machine.

2.       KETTLE MOTOR SWITCH    This switch turns on the motor for the kettle agitator.

3.      KETTLE HEAT SWITCH  This switch turns on the heating elements in the kettle.

Your popcorn machine requires 1800 Watt/ 15Amp/120 Volt electrical service.  Extension cords are not recommended.

To pop corn, follow these instructions:

1.      Turn on all 3 switches.

2.      On the first batch, put just the oil in the kettle and 2 or 3 grains of popcorn.  The first batch will take 4 to 5 minutes to warm up to popping temperature.  After you hear the kernel pop, dump the entire contents of the popcorn kit in the kettle.

3.      In about 3 minutes, the kettle will overflow with popped corn, when the popping slows almost to a stop, dump the remaining corn from the kettle.

4.      On the second and successive batches, dump the entire contents of a popcorn kit into the kettle and dump when the popping slows to a stop.  Always pop several batches for best popcorn.

5.      When you have enough popcorn, turn the Kettle Heat and Kettle Motor switches off.  Leave the warmer switch on to keep your popcorn fresh and hot.

6.      Not every kernel will pop, so your popper has holes in the bottom of the corn pan inside the machine which allow un-popped kernels to fall through to the old maid drawer.

Having Trouble??

Kettle won't heat    Check to make sure the twist lock plug on the end of the kettle cord is securely locked in the receptacle in the interior top deck of the machine.

Low Kettle Heat    By far, the #1 cause of most machine problems  is low voltage.  Plug the machine directly into a receptacle and try again, long extension cords and generators are frequent problems.

No Interior Light    Replace with any lamp under 75 Watts for illumination, remember there is a corn deck warmer to keep the popcorn warm.

Kettle Agitator Won't Turn   Make sure the kettle is correctly seated in the hangar arms.  In order for the agitator to turn, the gear on the kettle must mesh with the gear at the top of the machine.
